High School Awards Banquet - May 20, 2018.
The High School Awards Banquet will be held on May 20, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seaglass Restaurant and Lounge. Dinner is included, followed by our annual awards presentation. The awards banquet is sponsored by the Triton Music Parents Organization (TMPO) which hosts fundraisers throughout the year to support the department, host the awards banquet, and give scholarships to seniors for college and to undergraduate students for music lessons and camps.
All students involved in the high school bands, choirs, marching & winter groups, drama, sound tech, and media production are eligible for participation awards if they meet all the course requirements. Students may also be selected for special awards for outstanding achievement. Students do not need to attend the banquet to receive an award.
Participation awards are based on the number of years students have been involved in the Triton Arts department, beginning in 7th grade. Participation awards are:
First year: certificate
Second year: Triton Arts water bottle
Third year: Triton Arts string bag
Fourth year: Triton Arts long-sleeve t-shirt
Fifth year: Triton Arts sport jacket with custom embroidery
Sixth year & all seniors: Customized senior plaque
Invitations to the awards banquet are mailed in April.
